Bikes Lanes

           Lisbon
     Sintra-Cascais
South of the Tagus

Lisbon’s network of Bike Lanes is quite limited and not very  well connected.
Just like in other places out there it is occasionally  there are bike lanes with weird designs,
which often are barriers to fun and safe cycling,

Nevertheless, Lisbon streets are generally safe to cyclists
and drivers tend to be conscious and respectful of cyclists’ needs.

Along Lisbon’s waterfront there are around 20kms of bike lanes on flat terrain,
from the City Center towards East to Parque das Nações
and West to the area of Belém.

If you would like to ride a bicycle in Sintra or Cascais
it is recommended you take a bicycle with you on the train from/to Lisbon.
Please note: There is no Bike Lane all the way between Lisbon and Cascais.
