Bikes Lanes

           Lisbon
     Sintra-Cascais
South of the Tagus

Portugal’s number of Bike Lanes has been growing steadily over the past few years, but it is still quite limited and we cannot say there is an organized network of bike lanes.

Portugal’s quieter roads are generally safe to cyclists and drivers tend to be conscious and respectful of cyclists’ needs.

If you would like to ride a bicycle in Costa da Caparica, Montijo, Sesimbra or Arrábida it is recommended you take a bicycle with you on the ferry or train from/to Lisbon.

From Trafaria ferry station there is nice bike lane connecting with the gold sand beaches of Costa da Caparica. So you can cycle safe with your family all the way from Lisbon downtown to the nearest nice beach only 10kms away!

In Tróia Peninsula and connecting this Resort with Resort Sol-Troia there are a few kms of nice bike lanes in nice locations really worth checking it if you are in the area.
